So, this last Friday, we purchased a lovely little parakeet. We named him Woodstock, after the cute little yellow bird from Peanuts. The first few days were a bit dodgy, but I think we are to the point where he trusts us. It seems he is not opposed to the idea of finger training, which is nice. :) He also managed to hold still for one picture.

Congrats! Birds are fun...we had a miniture parrot for about a year and she was darling. However, she was a bit loud and very messy...not really baby proof either. But birds are beautiful pets and fun additions. Enjoy!
